Baily Renee Fritz
Director & Teaching Artist
All About Baily Renee Fritz
Baily Renee Fritz is a recent graduate from Ball State University, where she obtained degrees in Directing and Theatre Education. She is a native of Fort Wayne, Indiana, but currently resides in New York, NY where she is exploring her love of theatre.
While studying at Ball State, Baily developed a passion for new works, which gave her an opportunity to explore her voice as a director and educator and to find out who she is as a queer woman in the world. She has been able to explore how to incorporate female voices into older pieces, like One for the Road by Harold Pinter, while also finding ways to create a space for racial, gender, and sexuality differences in new devised pieces like LIFT. Being able to explore these topics with colleagues, has helped shape her voice as an artist, and allowed her to find herself in this crazy world of theatre.
Overall, Baily hopes to continue to explore more of the world around her and learn how to use this new knowledge and apply it to her work in theatre.

Past Shows
Baily's two most recent pieces have been One for the Road by Harold Pinter, Bully by Amina Henry. These pieces allowed room to showcase women and gender norms in ways we may not always see. A large focus for Baily is to find ways to give more space for these underrepresented voices, and Henry and Pinter;s works were a incredible place to start.
